Doug Glovaski was born in Saginaw, Michigan in 1951. His family moved to California when he was seven years old to the small town of Los Gatos, Ca. where he grew up in a suburban area and enjoyed childhood life with friends and family. He became interested in art at an early age, drawing and painting starting at around nine years old. His interest would stay with him through his formative years and into young adulthood.
After graduating high school in 1970 Glovaski would immediately enter the work force in Silicon Valley where he would remain for many years until finally, after becoming more and more disillusioned with the meaningless jobs he performed, he decided he would pursue his lifelong dream of being an artist.
He began working with art consulting firms in the area and had his first shows at local restaurants and cafes in the San Jose, Ca. community. It was at one of these restaurants in San Jose that a large canvas of Glovaski's caught the eye of a prominent gallery owner. Glovaski was asked to join the Frederick Spratt Gallery and would remain there for ten years receiving numerous solo and group shows.
Glovaski is now represented by several Galleries in cities across the US including New York, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Los Angeles.
